Finding new friends....

Wild Bill over at Passionate Blogger wrote a incredible article (I don't feel that I have used incredible lightly) "Give And Receive Series - Part 2 - StumbleUpon" in which he made it very plain that you must stop being so concerned about yourself/your blog and really concentrate on helping others build up their blog. I thought long and hard and decided that every person that commented on Wild Bill's post I would go to their blog and comment and Stumble them. This is a wonderful way to meet new bloggers and make friends with people that you might not have ever meet before.

I have decided that in this post (and I will update it as much as I can) I will put links to those blogs I went to visit and visit them on a regular basis.

***More NewerUpdate! More new friends added today, 8/30/07, Welcome to the list!

Great idea to add WildBill to the Personal Development list. I have done just that. If you have any other suggestions let me know. Thank you!

Wow! What a great goal!

I am doing a "Random Act of Linkness" on my blog that is devoted to this same concept.

I think you just earned yourself one!

Hi, BigMike!

Thanks so much for the link to Writer's Notes! I've really appreciated your comments--not to mention the Stumble! I'm still waiting for you to get your own Stumble button!

Regards,
Jeanne Dininni

I have been working on that tonight in between patients at work (not going so well). I have followed the directions from Stumble but still a no go, waiting on WildBill right now. May have to bribe him with some home cooking or something!

Actually..I didn't stumble here by way of 'StumbleUpon' I stumbled here by way of a link on Bob's blog..imagine my surprise when I saw my blog listed here ;)Now I need to research why the link didn't show up in Technorati so I could have thanked you sooner!! I'm off to explore your other commenters...I don't teach today so I get to 'socialize' for awhile ;)

Me again! Now I know who you are :)...thanks for stopping by and commenting at my place. I agree....I'm all about honesty between friends and family members...that is why my family no longer speaks to me...but at least I said what I needed them to hear and I no longer carry it around. I used to have an anonymous blog but being the counselor that I am I knew that was just a form of 'denial'...so now..."I Yam what I Yam" :) Again, thanks for visiting and the link...making new friends is always fun.

BigMike: Wild Bill really hit on something with that post. Thank you for all of the well thought comments. Keep the Disasterolgist content coming!

Thanks again for the link, BigMike! Your blog just keeps showing up on my stats, which is a pleasant surprise of a blogging gift.

I'm still digging into StumbleUpon, but it looks like my friends are starting to see their Stumbled hits pick up, so it just might work. Still figuring it out.

The concept of giving as a priority is a fresh approach for many bloggers, so I am a big fan of Wild Bill's post.

Big Mike, thanks for the link. I followed your comment to Wild Bill here to see what his experiment had caused on your site. I came last week and read a few of your articles. Disasterology seems like an interesting topic. Living in Arkansas as I do, we are in part of Tornado Alley but not to the degree that you and Wild Bill are living in Oklahoma. Back in 1985, my family and I lived in McAlester, OK for a year. The wind never stopped blowing the entire time we lived there. Like you, I can't get my Stumble button to work. I finally deleted it.

PS Thanks for keeping this at the top for a while. I would hate to have missed it.

BigMike,

It's really great of you to keep these links at the top of your site, as you've done! Doing so has brought traffic to my site (as I'm sure it has to the other blogs on your list)!

How's that for giving, folks?

Thanks, BigMike!
Jeanne
